Dear Customer,

UniCredit Bank and Hajnalfény Medical Group Association have joined forces to help disadvantaged children. With the financial support of our bank, pediatric ophthalmologists will conduct one-day eye screening sessions for school children in five disadvantaged settlements in northern and eastern Hungary and provide children in need of vision correction with the necessary glasses.

Now you can help too!

If you have used but good condition children's eyeglass frames at home that you no longer need, please bring them to the collection boxes placed in our bank branches by the end of June 2025.

The frames will be renovated by the medical group's specialists and later distributed to children in need of new glasses in other locations.

Why are we doing it all?

Successful school performance is often hindered by everyday obstacles, such as a child not being able to see the blackboard well or read a book, making it difficult for them to write or do math. According to the Hungarian Ophthalmological Society, myopia is the most common vision problem, affecting more than 50% of children under the age of 18. However, purchasing glasses as a solution and participating in an eye examination are often out of reach for families living in difficult financial circumstances.

The eyeglasses donation complements UniCredit's Re-Power Your Future program, which grants equal opportunities for young people in schools and aims to prevent early school leaving, and which will help develop more than 31,000 children in 350 Hungarian schools by 2026.
