Meet our Storytellers

To recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements of our people as champions and main advocates of our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), Unlock a better tomorrow, we launched the UniCredit Storytellers initiative. This advocacy program features our colleagues who serve as the voice of our Bank, showcasing their work life to offer a glimpse into what it is like to work at UniCredit. Bacher Barnabás 

Head of Credit Risk Methodologies and Integrated Risk  

 

I started my career at UniCredit Bank in 2018 as an intern in a rotation program, curious and eager to learn. In the early days, I got hands-on experience in credit risk modelling and validation, and after about six months, I secured a full-time role. From there, I gradually grew into a senior expert, and in spring 2023, I was offered the chance to lead the validation team — a challenge I was excited to take on.

Fast forward to July 2025, I stepped into a new role as Head of Credit Risk Methodologies and Integrated Risk team. Now I’m responsible for Integrated Risk, Real Estate Valuation, and Credit Risk Modelling. One of the highlights of my career was working on the bank’s locally developed IRB model for Medium-sized Enterprises. I helped build it during the Covid-19 lockdowns and later led its validation under tight deadlines. It’s now being audited by the CBH, and I’m proud to be part of that process.

What really makes this place special for me is the team. Even during tough times, the atmosphere always stays positive and supportive – we have each other’s backs no matter what. And I love that no two days are ever the same ̶ there’s always something new to solve or figure out.

If I had a superpower, it would be staying calm and finding solutions when things get complicated. I hope my colleagues see that too. Outside of work, life got a new meaning in July 2025 when my little boy was born. Spending time with him ̶ especially our evening walks ̶ is the best way to recharge.

Teszári Andrea

Head of CRM  

 

I joined UniCredit Bank in 2022 as Head of the CRM Team, stepping into a fantastic and dynamic world where data meets people. From day one, I’ve worked with an amazing team dedicated to understanding our customers – exploring their behaviours, shaping personalised communications and constantly finding better ways to connect.

We’re now introducing a new CRM tool, a project that’s both challenging and inspiring, made possible by the strong support of our leaders and partner teams. Collaboration truly drives everything we do.

One of the most meaningful experiences of my years spent here was serving as a sponsor in the EmpowHer program – UniCredit Bank’s career initiative for women. Guiding and learning alongside talented colleagues was uplifting and deeply rewarding, while my greatest superpower – the ability to step into one’s shoes while staying clear-headed to help them find their way forward – was a great help along the way.

Outside of work, I recharge by traveling, discovering new cultures and culinary treasures, having good conversations or just curling up by the fireplace with a good book.

Márkus Dániel

Head of Call Center

 

I joined UniCredit Bank in 2010, and for the past five years, I’ve been leading the bank’s Call Center — overseeing Telephone Banking, Card Customer Service, Credit Line, Telesales, and the Transaction Control Team.

My banking career began at another commercial bank, but it was a friend’s enthusiastic stories about UniCredit Bank’s supportive, close-knit team that inspired me to make a change. I started as a Call Center agent in the Card Customer Service department, helping customers with their bank and credit card inquiries. When my mentor moved to a new role in 2013, I stepped up to become Team Leader — a position I held for seven years before taking on my current role in 2020. That transition allowed me to turn years of hands-on experience into tangible improvements in both efficiency and service quality.

What’s kept me here for 15 years is simple: opportunity and people. UniCredit Bank has always provided opportunities for growth, and I’ve been surrounded by skilled, helpful colleagues who make even the toughest days rewarding. The members of my immediate team have been working here since my first day — a rare and special thing.

Of course, there have been plenty of unforgettable phone calls over the years — some so memorable they’ve become team catchphrases.

While I wouldn’t claim to I have superpowers, I do consider myself lucky. Life’s key turning points have always led to positive outcomes, and I’m grateful for that.

Outside of work, I recharge through sports — especially swimming and running, which help me clear my mind and stay grounded.
